Personal Air Purifier

my house needs an air purifier really bad because my mom has breathing problems. she wants one that has a sterilizer and that is very strong like 2000 sq ft coverage. please help if you know any goods air purifiers and tell me the name and where I can purchase it. Thanks!

My cat was recently diagnosed with a collapsed trachea when aggravated it hinders his breathing. The vet said that dust and other allergens, as well as over-exertion and heat could set him off – similar to an asthma attack. I am investing in an air purifier but I also want to change his litter. I currently use just a regular clumping clay litter. I don’t know much about alternatives – such as crystals, wheat or pine. Can anyone give me some advice and maybe personal experience with these type of litters.

The vet believes with some ‘lifestyle’ changes and possibly medication in the future we can maintain his health without the need for surgical intervention.

Also, if anyone else has had this diagnosis with their cat (or small dog as it is quite rare in cats) let me know the outcome.

I have two indoor cats (two litters for them).
I am on a fixed income.

Our basement has a bit of a musky smell, and i’m just wondering if an air purifier would help to get rid of the smell, and would it help for people with asthma? I just find that when i spend time in the basement, my asthma starts to act up.

My dad sent 4 boxes on November 22nd via parcel post from Salem, Oregon to St Croix Virgin Islands. With a delivery date of Decemeber 6th. Well here it is December 7th an no packages, I know I must seem antsy but here is the kicker, these 4 boxes hold everything that we need to go to Africa on Decemeber 12th it contains water purifier and so on. Now on the website it says it could take up to 12 business days, I am trying not to freak out here. Has anyone had any problems with parcel post? it does not have delivery confirmation, we tried calling the USPS and they said there is No way of tracking it. we have 3 days left the post office here is closed on saturday and on sunday, and we leave sunday morning at 6 am? Am I over reacting, do they usually get to there destination in the time they say it will get there, there is just alot riding on these 4 boxes any information, or personal experiene would really help me out!!

I’ve come to realize that seeing the sun shine is great, but seeing the reflection of millions of like lint and stuff in the air is probably what is triggering the Asthma in my brother and me . And Looking at reviews, I saw that lots of people said it works great ! and then there were lots that said it stopped working after two days, for the Ionic Pro Air purifier.

Anyone have any idea if this really works or not? I really don’t want to get websites to reviews, I want personal opinions. And if this doesn’t work as great, what would you recommend in the 0.00 -200.00 Price Range ?

when my dad originally shipped the package they said that it should arrive on 12/6. If i could turn back the clock we would have sent it differently but i cant turn the time back, I am just wondering if USPS is usually on time with there delivery dates tomorrow will be the 12th business day because of thanksgiving, all i am wanting to know if people have had problems and if i am just getting anxious and the packages should be here by friday. My dad was under the impression that it would be here by the 6th and if he would have known or been told that it was not an exact or confirmed date it would have been sent differently.

My friend ask me where she can get an air purifier in a cheaper cost to protect her baby that is suffering from asthma.

I’ve had ozone generator air purifiers in the past. I hated them. I do not want an ozone producing air purifier, but more of an air filter. However, filters that have to be replaced are a pain. Does anyone make an air filter with a washable filtration system?

I need the one which kills most bacteria & removes harmful minerals (heavy metals) but retains good minerals in the water. Has anyone tried Waters Bio-Mineral Pot? I have recently become accutely aware of the quality of air that is within my home due to my youngest child recently developing allergies. I am in the market to purchase an air purifier to help rid my child of the symptoms that she suffers from her allergies. Is a Living air purifier a good quality unit to own? I want to make sure that I am investing my hard earned money into something that is going to work.

My 2 1/2 year old has asthma. So i need to buy a purifier for the room. Which one is the best kind? And I heard the Ozone kind are suppose to be bad for you, so I want to make sure I don’t buy one of those. Please tell me your experience.

I need an air cleaner in eliminating pet particles, mold, dust mites, smoke, gases, etc.; preferably one that has a filter that can be just wiped off and put back in or filters that are not real expensive. I have heard that Carrier Air Purifers are the best but just not sure. Looking to clean/purify approx. 800 sq. ft. And does an air cleaner eliminate radon or others gases that possibly could be in a basement?

I just bought a used ionic breeze air purifier, but the air coming out of it doesn’t smell that great. Is that normal? What’s the deal? Thanks!

It registers everything else (a light goes on when there are any impurities in the air) but a mildewy area does not show up on the machine at all. Why might this be?
I have a Winix Plasma air with a HEPA and carbon filters.

Is there a difference? I need to get one of those things because I keep waking up in the mornings with a nose full of dry bogies with blood in them. I’ve been told it’s the heat and the air in my bedroom.

I posted yesterday and no one replied. Anyway, my cat that is about 5 years old was diagnosed with Asthma a few months ago. I’ve made changes not only around the home, but his personal room where he sleeps/what not. I can’t figure out what is causing his Asthma. He was fine and then this past year and a half all of his symptoms started.

He has gone from making a weird slosshy noise when he eats to a cough to a breathing attack. He has been put on Prednisone off and on, and is now taking 05 mg once daily. I’ve changed litters, his food, cleaned up, stopped using sprays etc and installed an air purifier. I don’t know why he is still having problems. And I don’t like the idea of him taking Prednisone due to long term problems.

He doesn’t have fleas, however he’s always had sensitive skin and his back does itch. I’ve taken him for baths and grooming appointments to help. I’ve made sure they don’t use any smelly soaps and what not. He eats EVO wet only, his bed is washed once a week. I don’t know what’s going on. I did remove the carpet in the house a few months ago. Could it be something in the floor boards? I cleaned them. Is it the walls? What? Me? I just don’t know. What can I do to pinpoint this problem and help him?

Just got a used holmes air purifier and it didnt come with instructions or anything. i need to know how to change the filter.

I work in a small office with 3 people in central FL and my co worker gets cold easily. The only way to get rid of the humidity is turn on the air and he gets cold. I was looking at air purifiers but i dont know if they get rid of humidity? Dehumidifiers are sooo expensive. Just wondering or is there any other way to get rid of the humidity?
